Materials Resource Management

Recent Service Engagements

Significant cost savings or waste can be experienced by healthcare organizations depending on how well the processes surrounding materials, purchased services, and other supply chain management are defined and optimized. The right balance of efficiency, customer service, and adherence to best practices must be sustained to achieve the benefits available. Purchasing arrangements, product acquisition practices, preference lists, transportation and storage, receiving and storeroom management, PAR levels, application of technology, etc., to name a few areas of opportunity, if not controlled and managed properly will have a tremendous effect on profitability and customer satisfaction. Both physicians and company management must be equally involved and committed to improve practices if the advantages are to be realized.
